Australia, the country where you can be ‘too privileged’ to go to jail – article in The Guardian

Last night I went to a Gala Dinner at which the host said that she is often asked if Australia is racist and that she doesn’t think it is, just that some Australians are misinformed, but that the rest are ‘bloody’ great or something like that.

This. This sums up everything about Australia and why that comment last night has stayed with me. This confirms for me that the host last night is wrong. That comment lets the state of Australia off the hook and lets people falsely think that it’s okay because not all Australian individuals are racist, just misinformed. How can citizens of a country pat themselves on the back with the enforcer bodies of the Government of that country do THIS?

I just don’t get how some people think…
